Are there any fans on this forum that wouldn't mind their team picking up "Skip To My Lou"?
Here on the specifics: 3 years left on the contract at $14.7 million. He makes $4.55 million this season, $4.9 million next year, and $5.25 million in the final year.
Pros: Decent rebounder for his size and position, salty demeanor on the court, hits FTs in the clutch (haven't seen him miss too many in close games), plays the passing lanes decently.
Cons: Poor decision making, poor shooting percentages, shoots too much at times. Only 3 cons, but their pretty big cons.
The humor of seeing this sitting on the topics list with zero replies made me chuckle.
As a Pistons fan I wouldn't want him, but he definately would be an asset for a good team coming off the bench. It makes a pretty big difference in how a second units play if they have even a halfway decent pointguard running the O.

Rockets Trades
Rafer Alston Atlanta Trades
Marvin Williams
Not a bad trade in my opinion. OR, Atlanta could trade Shelden Williams. This way ATL gets the PG they desire, just because a rookie PG (Acie Law) can be inconsistent. Atleast with Rafer you have a proven PG, who's decent. And HOU, receives a nice young prospect who can grow with the Rox.
I think Alston on Atlanta makes sense. Yeah they did just draft a PG but I don't think he's the guy for that team. I mean he'll do. But I don't think he's "the one." He and JJ just seem redundant to me. Not that Alston is either, this team isn't smart enough to be able to function at too high a level being led by a relatively erratic trigger happy point. But Alstons play style seems to fit better with this team. And at the very least they could use a spark off the bench that Alston would provide. Although they do have Salim Stoudemire. eh maybe not.

Doesn't sound too bad. Who is the better rebounder and who is the better scorer? Marvin or Shelden?
