And no, I don't think Oden, while losing Randolph (this year) improves the Blazers in the slightest.
Have you seen the Kings' roster?
If they keep their team together and Theus turns out to be a decent coach who can atleast keep his head on straight, theres no way in hell they finish last 3 in the league.
Re: All this talk about Celts but how good are the Wolves now?
I agree with the sentiment that they are overloaded at the wing positions. Someone's going to have to eventually go because there aren't enough minutes to go around at the 2/3 for Davis, McCants, Green and Brewer. They are a little thin up front (unless Al Jefferson is going to play center) so I'd try to trade one of those wing players for another serviceable big.

McHale will go down as one of the worst GMs in history....He's done absolutely nothing while having one of the best players in the game the whole time he's there....

i'd still mention green and maybe telfair on that list.
I think if there will ever be a chance for telfair to do anything in the nba it's here. I'd expect him to fail miserably but deep inside i hope he does well.
Re: All this talk about Celts but how good are the Wolves now?
Foye, Jefferson and Brewer is a good core. Is it a core that will eventually develop into a top 5 team in the conference? Maybe not. But it's a darn good start.
Jefferson is a good and developing post player who plays physical inside and eats up boards like crazy.
Foye is a really good streak-scoring guard (if he hits one or two shots close to one another, he can easily drop 10+ points in a given quarter) who is crazy in crunch time.
Brewer is a good complimentary wing with athleticism and skills.
I don't know who we're getting besides Jefferson, but anything positive we get from them long-term is a bonus.
Re: All this talk about Celts but how good are the Wolves now?
The thing about these super-young teams is, they need veterans to log important minutes to create stability and foster development. So it's very important that guys like Juwan Howard, Trenton Hassell and...some other Wolves veteran get good playing time.
Re: All this talk about Celts but how good are the Wolves now?
Are there any worse veterans you can pit these young guys with. Ricky Davis, Juwan Howard and Mark Blount. That's pretty nasty. I'd be moving these guys ASAP if I was McHale.
Re: All this talk about Celts but how good are the Wolves now?
Good enough to finish in the bottom and retain that their #1 draft pick. McHale is still a C and he helped Danny Ainge keep his job and maybe
get an extension. The Cs are relevant again which must be helping Stern get over the ulcer caused by Tim Donaghy.
Too bad I was hoping the Wolves would be a #11 team in the lotto so the Clips would get their pick next year and increase the chance of getting OJ Mayo. Now the Wolves will have a ping pong ball in the Mayo lottery.

GO CELTICS
Your not a Celts fan. Your just a Ray Allen groupie.
Re: All this talk about Celts but how good are the Wolves now?
The Worst they do the better. They're in rebuilding mode and the better pick they have a chance at the better. However, I think they're set for the future.
Re: All this talk about Celts but how good are the Wolves now?
as a boston fan i hate to see jefferson go cause hes a solid player but thats about it......never cared for gerald green i think he wont become a consistant player and i have an 8 year old neice that can beat telfair at one on one i liked gomes too but didnt fit celtics too well.....overall minny fans will be miserable for the next couple of seasons trying to rebuild but hey i was patient with the celtics and look at us now.
