Tim Duncan is about equal to his mentor David Robinson in a sense..

Both can play a little PG and handle the distributing role for the team and the athleticism is the one advantage Iggy has. If Andre can get even close to the player Pippen was i will be extremely happy as a Sixers fan.

You've never really watched pippen, have you?

Reminds me of a thread on the old board comparing pippen to garnett, when one guy said something like "KG plays well above the rim and is a high flyer, while pippen makes up for his relative lack of raw athleticism by playing a more cerebral and skilled game."

In David Halberstram's bio of Jordan, he basically says that Pippen and Jordan were athletic equals. One thing Pippen could do that Jordan couldn't was stand out of bounds right under the backboard, jump from a standing position toward the hoop and then dunk it. Also, who could forget his '90 dunk contest when he pretty much dunked it from BEHIND the free throw line (tiptoe barely touching the line). NO OTHER nba player who ever dunked "from the free throw line" ever did it from that far. Not Dr. J, not Jordan, not Brent Barry, not Stromile Swift, not Gerald Wallace. They all stepped right on the line.

In conclusion, pippen was one of the most athletic players OF ALL TIME, and your lack of knowledge about him just got exposed.

Yes i have and i know about how athletic Pippen was but i think Iggy may have a slight advantage. Iggy i think is more explosive leaping and quicker off the ground than Pippen but Scottie had more lateral quickness. They were both unreal athletes but i think Iggy can keep up and even pass Scottie in most athletic categories. Scottie is stronger and more well built but Iggy at this point in his athletic prime is more agile.

Jason Kidd to Magic Johnson(Wow, Kidd's scoring ability is so bad compared to Magic Johnson), both of them are good at grabbing triple-double.

I've come to the conclusion that you haven't been watching the NBA since the 60's, and you must be some kind of troll.

No actually I have come to the conclusion that you are a WEAK poster and that you should be ignored.

I don't know that it's possible to compare Trenton Hassell to any player considered legendary.

I've always thought of him as a shorter black version of Kurt Rambis without the glasses.

i think you're right. scottie was taller though and had longer arms so he may actually have been able to reach higher to make basketball plays.
