For the Raptors, I'd say repeating as Atlantic division champions and making it out of the first round.

For the Mavs, it's simple: title.

Nothing short of a title is enough for the Mavs to consider '07-'08 to be a success.

T.Dot- at least second round of the playoffs, 45+ wins, Bosh truly seen as top tier, CB4 dominates.

PHX- Simple. Championship. Amare goes back to 2005 domination.

success?
the Lakers not imploding on themselves with total chaos resulting in the unfortunate death of Jimmy Buss.

For the Rockets, it's fairly obvious. Getting past the 1st round would be good enough, but I would consider a bit more than that, especially with a deeper bench that we have for next season. McGrady accomplishing something he's never done yet. Hopefully getting past the 1st round and maybe scoring champ(again) or MVP? Possibly.

Nets:

Win the Atlantic

Get past the second round

These are the most modest of goals.

of course winning the title should be the goal of EVERY team who is in playoff contention. but only the best teams (WEstern Conference) can accomplish that

For the Knicks, a successful season this season would be a winning record and winning at least a couple games in the playoffs. Since they're in the weak Eastern Conference, and I think EZ Money will like playing together, they should have a goal of 2nd round or ECF in mind.

But successful would be a winning season and competing in the playoffs, help the team grow with some positive experience throughout the season and some good playoff experience.

For the HEat, it's to win a title. I don't think veterans like Shaq, Zo and Payton would be satisfied with anything else. Riley built a veteran savvy team with the intention of winning now there is no "future" or "potential" with this group other than Wade and a coulple of other young peaces.
