Re: Lakers contemplating Luther Head for Brian Cook
I don't know. As much value that Head has to our bench, he's the right kind of guy for the job, but we can get someone better, especially with the value Luther brings us - We shall perhaps wait?
Oh and we have way too many Guards coming off the bench (i.e. Mike James, Bonzi Wells, Kirk Snyder).
Re: Lakers contemplating Luther Head for Brian Cook
Hell No for the Rockets. He is like the only guy off the bench we have (we do have James now but still). We need a PF but not brian Cook. The Rockets would be retarded to do this, if they were going to get ride of head they could get a better deal.
Re: Lakers contemplating Luther Head for Brian Cook
Hopefully Houston does that deal and solely forgets about James Singleton. If the offer has been given, and I'm the Lakers, I take it and run, easily. Head is a better player in my opinion.
Re: Lakers contemplating Luther Head for Brian Cook
I don't care if Luther gets traded. I don't know why, but I just don't.
He's a decent little guard. Not much of a point guard, but he won't have to be in the triangle, as noted, so the Lakers might get more out of him than we would.
I'm willing to give Brian Cook a chance. It's not like he's going to be our starter or anything.
Re: Lakers contemplating Luther Head for Brian Cook
team needs this is a wonderful trade for both squad imo
We're forgetting that Adelman's system is a more spot up shooting back door cutting system...u could very well see cook taking some what the role Peja did for us while he was on the squad..
And for those Rox fans saying cook doesnt play D... yea i totally agree but blah Adelman is the Head Coach so he'll be excused! ....If this was to go down this would be highly an offensive move for the rox because in the playoffs they had trouble scoring not to mention shooting the 3 ball....
but i could very well see a cook #48 for head fair imo
for the lakers any guard addition is an upgrade to the PG spot...he's a run and gun guy loves to get up and down the court. Id love to see Evans Kobe and Head on the floor one time at the 3,2,1 spots respectively
a guy who could play the role that smush had only thing contribute a lot more and actually hit shots...its a good idea for both teams....and you'd think Rox would trade bob sura's contract for a young athletic PF ...the likes of a Wayne Simien James Singleton Warrick etc
