Default Phoenix's Team Should Sit Out 2morrow (Protest)

If Phoenix players refused to pplay tomorrow night, it would really phukk Stern up. Imagine all the heat that he would get from the networks and cable providers.

would that count as a lost game?

and if they did, stern would have the perfect reason to hold a grudge

That would be a good idea.

Except, two players broke a rule (maybe a stupid one, maybe not) and the result of that rule is an automatic suspension.

So, what would they be protesting?

That Duncan and Bowen did the same and they're not being suspended

Sometimes it takes action to change rules. Also, rules are never absolute.

Agreed.

But RIGHT NOW, it's the right damn suspension. I mean come on.

Maybe they'll change it after the fact (ala the Tuck Rule), but at the time, like it or not, it's the right call.

And Duncan and Bowen did NOT do what Amare and Diaw did. Diaw turned himself around and walked back to the bench, so his suspension, while it may be less vital, seems unnecessary to me. Amare's is warranted. Duncan and Bowen didn't do the same thing as Amare. The rule is in place for those who may escalate the situation, and TD and Bruce Bowen didn't rush toward the fight as Amare did.

How did Amare escalate the situation -- Didn't he get tangled up in the crowd? Did he throw a punch?

Looks to me like it was a natural reaction, after all, we're human not robots.

It's like if someone slapped your mother. It doesn't matter if you're at school, work, church, etc... you're gonna react with anger. That's what Amare did, but in no way, did he cross the line.

Nash is Amare's pop I guess?

There's no rules against defending your mother from getting slapped. You serious right now?

There's rules from SPRINTING TOWARD a fight, ON THE COURT (when you started on the bench).

THAT'S called potential to escalate the situation. What would have happened if the coaches didn't snag him back?

Moron.

Totally different situation. This is their job. Maybe you would take a suspension defending your co-workers even though they didn't even do that.

Yeah do it, lose the game. And get the Suns fined a **** LOAD OF MONEY. I could only imagine how much they'd get fined.

Hopefully they do it and show an old classic game from the 80s involving Bird and Magic or Jordan. That would make my night
