Amaré Stoudemire called the San Antonio Spurs a dirty team Thursday and directed most of his words toward defensive specialist Bruce Bowen and sixth man Manu Ginobili.
Hours after the Suns center learned he had made First Team All-NBA, Stoudemire unleashed frustration at what he said were attempts by Bowen and Ginobili to hurt him during Phoenix’s Game 2 win in the Western Conference semifinals.
Bowen's play irritated him most. In the third quarter, Stoudemire felt a kick to his left Achilles tendon as he leaped inside. He came down awkwardly and said his foot was sore the rest of the night. He got medical treatment before practice.
Thought I'd post this since there was a big thread about it the other day. I don't mind the Manu grab as much, just that it wasn't called, but the Bowen kick was uncalled for, and that could've hurt Amare. You don't do that when a guy is getting ready to jump. I was wondering why Amare didn't get much elevation on that dunk. When you watch the replay, you can see Bowen kick at his lower leg.
This Suns can't get caught up in this though. They need not mention this again. Just let it be known what is going on, and hopefully the refs will look more closely.
I was gonna call Amare an idiot because I thought the title of the thread was Amare calls Manu and Bowen out. Because if he did that, then Manu and Bowen would have come back and definitely gotten the win in Game 3.
Anyway, I'm not gonna lie - but I agree with Amare. Bowen and Ginobili were playing dirty in Games 1 and 2 with their play. If people say Tony Parker was dirty for hurting Steve Nash, I say it was not on purpose, Parker is not dirty. But Bowen and Manu were playing a little on the unfair and dirty side in the first two games.
That's part of spurs game, all 5 starting players are dirty,
Tony-he's dirty cuz of too much smooching of Eva Longoria
Obert0-he's dirty cuz he's a caveman
Manu-definitely dirty according to his latin boyfriend, flopper extraordinaire.
Bowen-he's gonna eat u alive, he's a maneater
and finally the dirtiest of them all according to Joey Crawford,
is none other than Tim "the Laughing Hyena" Duncan.
I dont think hes being a cry baby, Pulling and pushing is dirty, but any contact with knees is horrible, that cud easily end his career and send a franchise back.
I don't think anyone is questioning his defensive ability. But this is far from the first time he has been called dirty. That alone should tell you something.

Yes, but a few players call Bowen dirty, not the majority ; Kobe respects Bowen
And Amare is the 1st player to call Manu dirty ; if he is refering to kick in the balls incident, Manu didn't do that on purpose.
