I think Kwame's feeling confident right now. Phil gave him the boost before the series started when he said that "if they don't have Kwame in the playoffs, they don't have a chance to beat any team". I think Phil recognizes that Kwame plays better if he's being praised than being criticized. All throughout the season, Phil had been criticizing him so maybe Phil thought that it affected he plays. I think what Amare will do is take away the confidence that Kwame's gaining more in every game.
The Laker media guide lists 6-11 center Kwame Brown at 270 pounds. But don't try convincing Phoenix center Amare Stoudemire of that.
"The guy is 300 pounds," insisted the 6-10 Stoudemire, "and I'm only 235."
Not according to the Suns' media guide, which has Stoudemire weighing in at 245.
But when you've battled Brown in the paint in Game 3 and watched him score a playoff-high 19 points, several on slam dunks, it's easier to rationalize if you create a greater size disparity between yourself and your opponent.
Stoudemire was on the court for only 31 minutes because of foul trouble, which also limited his aggressiveness.
"I have to be a little more responsible," Stoudemire said, "and stay on the court."
Still, he doesn't minimize the immensity of his task.
"Once Kwame gets set in the middle," Stoudemire said, "you can't move him out."
Yeah, Kwame really has a big body but nothing behind it. I just don't get this dude. His body is very well built and he's very quick for his size but why can't he dominate? Maybe because he has small hands.
Amare needs to try and front Kwame in the next game. He is quick enough that he can do that.
The real problem is his help defense leaves Kwame wide open. That needs to be improve as a team.
That's the biggie there. Geewiz was also right. Most of Kwame's points came off of dunks that his team mates fed him because Amare came over to help when they got into the lane. Kwame is still garbage and will forever be. I'm surprised he didn't drop more passes than he did.

Kwame was accused of sexual assault after the Lakers were up 3-1 and never played great again. Instead of the LAPD waiting t'ill after the series to do the investigation, they wanted to do it during the series. Must be clipper fans. It ruined his confidence.
Why should they wait? "Sorry man, I got this deal I'm trying to seal so you're gonna have to put that investigation on holdc.."
Anyways, an angry Amare is scary. Don't kid yourselves.
