The only team that they're "prolly about to meet" is Dallas. Get that straight.
They are nowhere near beating Dallas in a series. Dallas can get back into this very, very easily. If Golden State wins tomorrow, then they are in a very good position to win this series. But not yet.
the thing is... when GS has won, it was not a fluke close victory. it was not the Mavericks made dumb mistakes that are easily corrected such as taking the easy way out and settling for jump shots when taking it into the hole would have provided much better results.
it was not as if the Mavericks shunned ball movement for one on one...
rather, it was the Mavericks tried to play their game but the harassing guerilla tactics of the Warriors shut down all of those options so the Mavericks were forced to play one on one or simple pick and rolls (msotly were contested)
did you see all of those layups that were deflected or blocked by the Warriors?
when a team so thoroughly dominates in this manner, by taking away what an opposing team does best... it usually means an upset...

they only look this good when they are playing the mavs, nelson's old team.
but against other top teams that are .500+? the warriors simply play... like the warriors. and not every team is weak ass like dallas when going up against midget ball. most other western conference coaches would love to play against one big man (biedrins) and four guys who are like 6'6" or smaller. that's the recipe to get creamed on the boards and get completely owned in the paint. however, dallas seems to be the only team who can't take advantage of that.

simple
NO POST UP PLAYERS
the only way to defeat small ball is to counter with small ball or to have dominant post players.
Dirk is creating tons of open shots for his teammates.. the problem is his teammates and coach suck. They don't know how to make them pay for guarding Dirk the way they do.
Another thing to realize is that the Mavs only have one decent player over 6'6 -- Dirk..
Most other teams have a couple decent bigmen.. all Diop and Damp can do is block shots and they aren't even really good at that. Damp and Diop are just terrible players. So you have a one man front court.

well don't forget, the Warriors are a very well condiitioned team. they can run circles all day and still jack 3s with 23 on the shot clock and make them.
the Mavericks are used to a slower tempo game and with all the backpedaling on transition defense that often goes in vain, the legs get tired and the mind gets demoralized. neither of which are good recipes for making jumpshots.
especially when your home crowd is gasping in shock and in the back of your mind you are desperately trying not to let them down or when the opposing crowd keeps standing up for ovations every 5 seconds and probably yelling choker and clown at you.

That's Avery's fault too.. he plays so slow so much plus he exhausted the team all seaosna nd then rested them for like a month before the playoffs starts.. juts a comedy of errors on Avery's part. Avery is a rookie assistant coach.. he has no busines scoahcing an elite team.. he isn't the smartest guy either.

I agree to an extent.. but what you ahve to realize is that this is a virtual carbon copy of what happened in the finals too.
Put a small on Dirk and force him to post up.. but double and triple him on the post taking the ball out of his hands.. zone the rest of the Mavs and dare them to beat you from the peritmer.. they can't.
Then to make matters worse Avery has no other offesne besides a post offense.. so when you take the post away the Mavs are just a one on one iso team.. couldn't be easier to defend.. also because the Mavs have no seocnd star and weak scorers.. AND they have bad defenders..
Why not? It might not be likely, but it could certainly happen. I wouldn't be shocked. They have a great coach, great point-guard, lots of energy, possibly the best home crowd in the playoffs....
In a game late in the season, GS handled the Suns and now they're ahead of the team with the best regular season record... It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
