Need further evidence center Marcus Camby should clear a shelf for a trophy?
Commissioner David Stern is scheduled to attend Game 3 at the Pepsi Center after being scheduled to attend tonight's Dallas at Golden State game. Camby is expected to be honored for winning Defensive Player of the Year. Golden State's Monta Ellis will be honored tonight for winning Most Improved Player.
Camby is expected to be named Defensive Player of the Year today. He would consider it a team honor.
Marcus Camby deserve this award he is a better defender than Tim Duncan this NBA Season.

Great numbers but I've seen him get humiliated a few times this year and before. With that in mind, I just can't see him as the DPOY.

How good of a job is Duncan doing on Nene? See Duncan get humilated a few time also.
Awesome news. I know that many people are sour over this, but give the guy a break, he's a terrific defender and has been great all year.
Its a shame that Tim still doesnt have one and he may have been just as good as camby this year (along with some others). But it can only go to one guy and if that guy is Camby i dont see how you can argue with the justification.
