This is why I make a serious effort to stay out of Kobe Bryant, Dwyane Wade, LeBron James, and Steve Nash threads.
So Burke not being a rotation player means he's not allowed to state something many non-Laker/Kobe fans see?
If he wasn't too busy making dumb videos for the Suns fans, he would see that Kobe passed PLENTY in game 2. His teammates weren't hitting, that's all. If you deny that he didn't pass a lot in game 2 then...
So, only people who play lots of minutes in the NBA can talk about it? Why are you posting here and discussing basketball then?
It's just a general observation that a lot of people agree with. I'm sure there are plenty of players in the league that recognize it's the Kobe show and not much else. Maybe his teammates suck, but they can't suck that bad or they wouldn't have made the NBA.
im not talking to the media and having my comments reported in news papers.. i am posting my thoughts on a message board. its a little different from what pat burke does when he makes statements to the media.

Yet that has no bearing on whether he is able to make an educated assessment of a basketball related issue. The fact that he's not a very good player doesn't mean that he doesn't understand the game well.
Burke is 33 and has played in less than 130 games.
i've always thought burke is a dumbass ever since he got all pumped when he hit that 3 last year in the last minute of game 7 vs. the lakers when his team was up like 35 points and every laker starter was on the bench. you made a shot, nice job... but it didnt make a difference in any way shape or form whether or not it went in, so calm the **** down.

I love how you quoted me on something that has no relation to your post.

maybe not, but still, but his comment isnt even accurate. kobe shoots, lakers lose, he gets criticized. kobe passes, lakers lose, kobe gets criticized. what the hell is he supposed to do? the rest of his team is playing like garbage, he can either choose to create open shots for them and watch them miss, or he can go out and try to win it himself. neither one will translate into a win very often.
For those who say "kobe passed in game 2, they lost anyway": it's not about just passing, it's about setting up his teammates for a better shot. If you watched game 2, in the first half, Kobe just dribbled a bit on the perimeter and passed off to a teammate and just stood there, watching them. Now compare that to AI, who drives to the basket, draws attention, draws doubles, then passes, which leads to either an open shot, or to a driving teammate for a high % shot in the lane or a foul in close. Kobe doesn't set up his teammates, and with all the attention he gets, he should know how to do that by now. Saying "he passes, they still lose" is an ignorant statement, because there's way more Kobe could be doing to help this team. Expecting them to create and make their own shots against this suns team is dumb.
