Probably not. But he'd have whipped his teammates into shape to at least compete. I mean he was 49 years old and made Kwame cry. He got the best out of his teammates through a variety of measures. Kobe seems to alienate them.
jordan carried a bunch of nobodies to double overtime against the powerhouse celtics. the bulls didn't win, but he didnt lay down without a fight. these lakers... they're already gone fishing.
laugh at youngrease, the gro*pie making this thread.
Really though, Jordan with this Laker team may not beat the Suns, but they'd go 6 or 7 games and Jordan would lay the smack down, probably average like 44 9 boards 6 dimes with 55% shooting.
Seriously Grease, just stop. The hidden motive behind this thread is hilarious. Watch, in a few hours, the replies will be overwhelming "Yes, Jordan would hae done better with this cast than Kobe", thus making your attempt meaningless.
you didnt answer the question...LAkers could beat Wash and Toronto in the east and get to the ECF..
Could he beat this team....with this cast
Not sure, but he'd do significantly better than Kobe, both in terms of production and winning. No way does a Jordan-led team play this kind of defense, either. And he doesn't go out with 15/4/4 on 5-13 FG like a b!tch.
(for the record, no, this loss isn't on Kobe, nor is he really a b!tch, but if you're gonna start making BS comparisons just because your boy is looking like a$$, it's all fair game)
And no, this Laker team could not beat the '89 Cavs and Knicks in a series to get to the ECF, though they can probably Wash/Toronto if that was their path to the CF.

I know he would do better than Kobe but I wanted to know if it would be enough...
I really wanted to know if any guard in the history of basketball could win this series...

If Jordan could drop 63 against an ALL TIME TOP FIVE Celtics team, what do you think he'd do the Suns defense? Answer that.
Take the 63 point Jordan and have him play the Suns right now in a series, with today's easier rules and the HUGE gap in defense between them Celtics and the Suns, what does the 63 point become? 73? 83? Or maybe the point total doesn't change much, but his shooting % would go up like 10%.

Well, to answer a different question, replace kobe with Jordan LAST YEAR and they definitely beat the Suns, than the Clippers and go on to the Conference finals, where they'd have a good shot against Dallas too.
