Re: Best Defensive PG's today
PGs aren't so good in defense as they were in the 90s. Not even close. Back in the 90s, guys like Payton used to be the defensive kings. Blaylock was good too

Billups and Kidd are probably the best. Hinrich is pretty amazing though, dude shuts down Wade like it's nothing.

Despite the joke, Tinsley is actually decent (although not really quick enough), and Gilbert isn't too bad either.

Re: Best Defensive PG's today
He flops way too much now for my liking, but I like Devin Harris because he can defend SG's too
I saw a graphic last weekend before the Mavs game that had it numerically broken down, point guards who lead the league in fewest pounds allowed to the opposing ther starting point guard
1. Tony Parker- 12.7PPG
2. Rafer Alston- 12.8PPG
3. Jamaal Tinsley- 12.9PPG
4. Devin Harris 13PPG

1) Kirk
I watch this guy every day and there's no one in the league that plays pure fundamental D better than him. And he often guards the player bigger and stronger than him since the Bulls start a small backcourt - Kirk takes the SG.

^ My Pacers fan friend always talks about Orien Greene's defense.
Orien Greene may be the worst player to ever appear in eighty games in one season.

Chris Duhon
Earl Watson
Kirk Hinrich
Chauncey Billups
Jason Kidd
Shaun Livingston
Lindsey Hunter
Charlie Bell
First names that came to mind when I thought of good defensive PGs.
EDIT: Jarret Jack and Jamaal Tinsely, I forgot about but was reminded of after reading the entire thread.

This list is awesome. I think he meant to say those are the worst defensive PGs in the league.
The best defensive PG in the league is Hinrich and Chauncy Billus and its not even close.
