PP would drop 70 on any college swingman.

Oden/Durant would foul out in the first half. It would be such a laugher.

LeBron didn't just light it up his first game. He had 19? And a bunch of games like that before he started lighting it up, he had an average summer league at best, and we're talking about the most hyped player in the history of basketball.

Let's not even get started on the defensive end. Even the best players coming out of college and HS are terrible.

Honestly

How good would a team consisting of:

PG:Foye
SG:Roy
SF:Gay
PF:Bargani
C Aldrige

6th Man: Morrison

(This year's rookies)

Do vs. the Celtics?

They would lose. And they are a year older now, but they still would lose, Pierce and Jefferson would be the 2 best on the court, West would be too good, and the NBA team would have more depth

So how do you explain the rookie-soph game.

All the best players from that class, and not just picked out of high school. They've been in the NBA for 5 months, so you know who was actually good, and they get creamed against a team of players only a year ahead of them.

The top prospects in the NBA?

People talk about Durant being able to average 20 next year, Oden being the next dominant center, comparing Law to Billups, etc. But now they would get dominated by THE ABSOLUTE WORST team i nthe NBA? I doubt it. It would be close IMO.

This is why these stupid articles exist...because some fans actually BUY that crap.

Who guards Gasol?
Who guards Mike Miller?

All i wanna know. You find the top prospect in the nation and tell me how they do that. Grizzlies arent good vs the other professional teams in the NBA who have more developed, proven talent, established veteran players and most likely a better head coach. Its not because the Grizzlies are horrible that they cant even defeat colleges best.

Players are compared based on future projections. Who here said Acie Law = Billups as a rookie next season? Find me that person. All yopu're doing is taking future projections, making those players pan out overnight then claiming they can beat the Grizzlies.

Oden = Bill Russell
Noah = Marcus Camby
Brandan Wright = KG
Durant = Tmac
A.Law = Billups

Horford = Carlos Boozer
Julian Wright = Boris Diaw

So now you have...

Bill Russell vs Gasol
Camby vs Hakim Warrick
KG vs Mike Miller
Tmac vs Rudy Gay
Billups vs D.Stoudamire

Yes the college team would kik the Grizzlies azz on da cort!

Hey genious, we're also talking about A team of NCAA All Stars, which sounds pretty similar to the Rookie-Soph game if you ask me. Except instead of a bunch of soph's who never play together it would be a well coached team, with stars, NBA roleplayers (X-College All Stars) with 10 years experience, and who knows how many months or years of playing together and chemistry.

They would get f'ing dominated by any pro basketball team.
whoa. I don't agree with that at all. Durant is better than anyone on the Bobcats or Sixers. Oden is better than several NBA starting centers. they'd put up a fight... against the worst NBA team.

K I buy it. I'm sorry.

Oden? There's scrubs i nthe NBA who get put on Gasol soemtimes, and how often does Pau have a 25 and 15 type game? Not often.

Quote:
Who guards Mike Miller?

I don't know. I'll take a defensive specialist on the perimeter, because all successful teams have one fo those. How about..... Marcus Dove.. he gave Durant some heck this season.

Quote:
Who here said Acie Law = Billups as a rookie next season

I never accused anyone of saying that. It's common knowledge that Acie Law's most common comparisom. He's a senior IIRC, meaning he's probably older than some guys making impact in NBA. And definitely more polished.

that isn't what I was going for, but I completely understand why you would think that.

AHHHH.... after all that, I'm not saying they would be FAVOURITES. I'm saying they would have a chance to beat them, IMO.

I'd say the Celtics are worse than Grizz btw.

Great job overrating Kevin Durant whose handles arent strong enough to blow past NBA defenders, whose strength is about that of a toddler trying to wrestle the toy out of your hand.

I remember last year when RicardoTubbs aka 250gto was spurting crap about how UConn could beat the Knicks because they were lead by Marcus "Isiah+Nash+Stockton" Williams.

1 week later George Mason wins and poor old Ricardo's nowhere to be found

How'd that work out?

(And BTW this article is garbage. I know this even though I haven't read it)

PG- Acie Law
SG- who's best SG?
SF- Kevin Durant
PF- Al Horford
C- Greg Oden

that could NO DOUBT beat an NBA team.
That team (right now) would get murdered by any NBA team.

How much would Paul Pierce score? I'd say 70-80 if he tried. Stop being silly.
