Dallas is getting killed by Rasheed and Webber on the post. They are posting them up on Dirk and he can do nothing. The Suns have Marion, Diaw, Thomas, and Stoudemire to guard the post. The Mavericks have....?
There is always so much talk that Dallas is a perfect defensive team, but it is being exposed in the Pistons game.

Ummmmm...ever heard of Dampier and Diop. We all know that Nowitzski is a bad low-post defender, they're going to get exploited there. They can only have one of their defense-oriented centers out there at once.
edit: who said Dallas was a perfect defensive team, they're good but not perfect
Dampier and Diop. Webber and Rasheed Wallace are a tough front court matchup for anyone because they can both pound it inside or take the perimeter jumper.
And who says Dallas is a perfect defensive team? They are good, not great. I'd rank Detroit and San Antonio's defense ahead of theirs still.
Newsflash: Lamar Odom dominated the Suns front court in the playoff series last year. Granted they're better with Amare in there, but Odom can mix it up, too.

One game means nothing. Dallas isnt a perfect defensive team by far but saying they have no post-defenders is a FAB thing to say.

I watched both the Pistons and Denver game and the Suns had no interior defense at all. There was one possession when Melo had like 4 offensive rebounds in a row inside the paint and it was practically a layup drill. Granted Dallas isn't a "perfect" defensive team but they rarely would allow anything like that.

Dont judge the suns interior defense on the last 2 games... While are interior defense might not be great its still pretty decent with Amare and Kurt. Diaw needs to step it though.
Dampier and Diop are solid in my opinion, but yes, they do need to try to get a better post defender during the offseason. Nonetheless, Dalas is still a top team in the league.

And thats stupid. Ive been saying Dirk is the MVP for awhile now. Sure the Suns vs Mavs game made the race closer but Dirk is still MVP and should be MVP in the end.
