It's quite a stretch to say Morrison is the worst player in the NBA. He's struggling, there's no arguing that, but remember it's only his first year in the league. Countless rookies who have gone on to have successful careers struggled in their first season and a lot of them shoot sub 40% from the field. I don't know if he'll ever become a great defender, that seems pretty unlikely, but I think there's a good chance he'll be a 20+ scorer sooner rather than later. Give the kid some time before you label him the "worst" player in the league.
I only watch Charlotte when they're playing the Cs, but what I've seen of Morrison's d isn't inspiring. So far, he's the biggest bust of the draft. Still, just a rookie, maybe this summer he finds a way to translate his game to the NBA level.
Same with me, though I wouldn't call him a bust. Maybe I'm just more forgiving of rookies. I think he'll be ok in the long run.
He averages more shots per game than points. So he scores at an incredibly inefficient rate.
Morrison has played US basketball all his life while Bargs is new to the style of the game. Yet, in a short time Bargs looks like he belongs in the NBA and Morrison sure doesn't.
It doesn't matter. NCAA, AAU, high school and whatever are all different from the NBA. Plus the dude's diabetic. He's shooting up on insulin during timeouts. Give him a break. Raymond Felton had the same problem last year. He sucked during the first half then excelled during the second half. Morrison has been playing better since the AS Break.
Matt Harpring busted up dude when the Bobcats played the Jazz. That's always been my problem with Adam Morrison....I've always thought the height, speed, and strength of NBA players were going to give him fits.
the guys a rookie go easy on him. he has all the time in the world to get better. he might not be a good defender, but we all knew that coming in. so as long as his shot and offensive game come around he will be fine.
