Default Re: Why Does TNT and ESPN Refuse to Show Raptor Games?

In that case, we won't be seeing any Celtics, Grizzlies, Hawks, or Bobcats games on TNT next year.

Just get league pass. Otherwise based on who's going the best, we would see Utah almost every week. Plus the money factor. The businesses see Lakers, San Antonio, Dallas, Cleveland, Miami, Detroit, etc as being marketable based on the Marquee guys on the team. While next year the raptors should get some TNT, Espn exposure, they certainly didn't deserve it this year based on last year.

Raptors games are bought by certain stations to be played. 4 major stations in Canada are buying the games (RaptorsTV, The Score, Sportsnet and TSN)...BTW, TSN is a brand of ESPN so it is broadcasted on a ESPN support network.

Technically the Raptors have by far more games on national tv than any other team.

There will be more Raptor games on next season on TNT and ESPN.

The TV schedule is made in advance of the season, and Raptors coming into the season were the worst team in the NBA for the previous year.

TNT/TBS/ESPN had no problem showing Raptor games back in 2000/2001/2002 when the team was competetive.
