Shaq is playing inspired ball right now... but can he do it for the remainder of the season and through the playoffs?

I still believe at this point wade > shaq, but that does not diminish Shaq's value to the team. He's still incredible.

of course not, go check his nba.com link, the guy is averaging 16 ppg and 7 rebounds, he barely scored 20 points, rebounds in double figures or blocks more than 2 shots p/game anymore.

Maybe it's more Eastern Conference teams they are playing on their schedule plus when Shaq was gone, so were some parts of their team. D-Wade still got his 28pts and 8 asts with a supporting cast that is less than what Kobe had the year before. And we hear talk about Kobe's teammates being junk.

Is it true Shaq has a ring in Miami because of Dwyane Wade? Of course.

completly untrue, they have in fact beaten quality teams without wade, washington twice, the bulls in a blowout, detroit, utah, etc, they havent just been feeding on a garbage schedule.

Well I can guarantee you without shaq wade would not have that ring.

Is shaq still the best center in the League?

I'm not talking about stats I'm talking about carrying the team.

Also another thing LeBron being criticised because hes team plays good without him. Why not wade?

Really now? I don't know. In Wade's first year alone, he was THE REASON the Heat got past the first round, and pushed the Pacers to the brink. Naturally it was just evolution that he got better, so it was inevitable that Wade would have the Heat playing the upper echelon of teams late int he Playoffs.

Shaq isn't the best Center. When healthy, it is Yao Ming.

And Shaq doesn't carry the team. He rarely has games where he completely dominates anymore. Like last night, it was total team effort. That team is clearly Wade's team. The coach has said so on numerous occasions. Wade is the one putting that team on his back. Not O'Neal. Check Shaq's averages from the Playoffs and compare them to Wade's. Wade did everything for that team.

im talking about isolated situations here, overall of course the heat is wade's team.

game 6 vs chicago, shaq posts 10th career 30/20 playoff game, heat cruise past bulls, wade only scored 23 pts mostly from the Ft line.

game 6 vs detroit, shaq scores 28 (82%shooting) pulls down 16 boards and blocks 5 shots to lead his team in all categories, wade had 14 points and only shot 6-15.

see where im going ? of course miami is wade's team, but without shaq they still don't win that ring.

Maybe those quality teams took the game easy because Wade wasn't playing.

maybe you are making excuses because it hurts to deny the heat can still ball without wade ? who knows.

I didn't say otherwise. Just like Jordan probably wouldn't have AS many rings w/o Pippen. You can't take a vital part of ANY championship team and say they would win it all w/o them, cause they clearly played an important part. But Shaq was the #2 guy, to a clear cut #1 in Dwyane Wade.

There is a reason for last year's playoffs why Dwyane Wade was named Finals MVP. Maybe one game here, Shaq lifted the team when Wade was down. But the team went down 0-2 when Shaq was the focal point against the Mavs. Then when Wade took over, we saw the results. A performance that makes Kobe Bryant look like Jerry Stackhouse.
