Default Chris Smith cut by his D-League Team

Quote:
Chris Smith has been released by the Knicks' D-League affiliate Erie Bay Hawks.

J.R.'s brother was waived by the Knicks earlier this season after appearing in zero games. He reportedly left the Bay Hawks a few days before his release because he was upset with his playing time, and it's safe to assume that he won't join an NBA team in the near future

Getting his brother to play in the NBA will go down as the biggest accomplishment of JR's career by far.

Surprised Kobe has not pulled a JR and blackmailed the Lakers into taking his scrub family members

meh, Knicks did it because they couldn't offer JR more than what they did and he probably agreed to take "less" if his brother got into the payroll somehow.

Meh, NBA owners have smarter ways than that to make it up to a player (endorsement agreements, longer deals, back office emplyment for relatives...)
