Default NBA Greatest Duos: Michael Jordan & Scottie Pippen vs Pacers (1992)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYVm7Ayvz4Y

Batman and Robin in the early stages of 92/93 regular season killing the Pacers with a great all-around game.

Michael was double-teamed most of the night, but he found open teammates (12 assists) for easy scoring oportunities. After scoring only 10 points in first three quarters, MJ saved his best for last. Michael scored 14 points in the 4th quarter to lead the Bulls comeback, another amazing clutch display by His Airness.

Pippen finished the game with 21 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists.

Bulls won the game 102:97.

That was nice to watch. Scottie had an underwhelming regular season as a scorer in general because he was dealing with a consistent ankle problem for half the season, but it was nice to see the triangle work so well. Most of Jordan's 12 assist didn't come off of him creating for others, but because that's how the triangle offense worked...which is the whole point. The triangle offense wasn't created for stars. Jordan had maybe 1 assist to Pippen during that entire time. Scottie basically created his own offense just like Jordan did while they played the triangle to perfection opening up shots for their teammates.

Like Stacey King said on one of the Bulls championship videos, "If the left don't get ya, the right hand will."

And thats the difference between Michael and LeBron*.... where one drains buckets to win while the other stat pads in garbage time.
