Default Freeman released because the Bucs could not generate trade interest. Question:

Why weren't the Jaguars or Raiders all over this guy?

I am hearing Freeman could end up in Green Bay as Rodger's backup

Freeman has played well in the past and is still relatively young. If he stinks there's nothing keeping them from drafting a QB anyway.

Default Re: Freeman released because the Bucs could not generate trade interest. Question:

1) He isn't that good. Not a long term solution.

2) Jaguars have no interest in winning games. They're tanking.

3) His contract. (5 mil left on the season)

4) Eugene Monroe - Top 10 LT still 26 years old fetched a 4th and a 5th. (It's basically a 5th if he doesn't re-sign since Baltimore will get a comp pick at at least 4th round maybe even a 3rd). So it's not surprising in the least that Freeman could not fetch even a 7th.

I'm sure they are tanking though...if they sign Freeman they might win a game or something and lose the #1 overall to the Giants or Bucs

they don't want to do that...there is no point right now

There's no Andrew Luck sure-thing in the draft this year at QB. You don't have to sacrifice all pride and go for an 0-16 record.

QB is not the only reason a team would tank for the #1 pick. Clowney is one of the best defensive prospects in years, a lot of teams are drooling over him.

Imo he's almost on that level. Hes a berter prospect than rg3, stafford, bradford, newton etc..

What makes Bridgewater a better prospect vs. RG3?
