Default Two myths that get perpetuated way too often

1- " Lebron beat the same piston team that beat the lakers in the 04 finals. See alot of people saying it about wade as well. It's dumb and a lazy argument

2- " Pau gasol played great and carried Kobe to the title in game 7
Now I'm not one of those laker fans who don't appreciate what gasol has done for the lakers. Everybody agrees Kobe had a horrendous shooting night. But gasol, whose a 7 footer, playing close to the basket went 6/16 37%fg and 7/13 from the ft line. It was a defensive struggle and the lakers clearly won because of their rebounding advantage

People stop perpetuating these myths. Neither are true

Except the fact that Wade did destroy those SAME Piston teams.

Prior to his injury thru the first 5 games of that series, he was averaging 28\6\5 and he averaged 28\6\6 on INSANE FG% vs them the very next year.

And you did an excellent job of debunking this "myth." Wait, brb, still reading all the evidence you've presented. Compelling.

Well, Ben Wallace wasn't on the team by 07, for one. That's a pretty big difference.

I guess I should have known there are some posters who are incapable of common sense. Kobe played them in 04. Lebron played them 3 years later

Could you really not decipher that from my post?

I would have had absolutely no problem at all if gasol got it. Both were deserving

But I could care less. It's about getting the ring that matters

Lakers won cuz of offensive rebounding as you stated and gasol had more offensive rebounds by himself than the entire celtics team.

I couldn't agree more. However playoff series are 7 games long. Not one.

Before game 7 there was actually talk that could could possibly be the MVP in a losing effort

3 - Kobe's resume and stats would look like Jordan's if he never played with Shaq.
