I know and apparently he's still got a house in Memphis, so it makes even more sense. I overreacted. But still...first Dorrell Wright picks Portland over us and now this. I can handle losing Martin, because he wasn't anything more than an inconsistent, overpaid spot-up shooter the second half of the season. But I was hoping we'd be able to attract one 3P threat who could fill in some at SG and SF.
Besides going home, is it possible he saw more playing opportunity there? I mean a lot of potential minutes are eaten by Durant, Memphis has no strong 3, and Memphis will share the ball much more than OKC
F**k, we can't even beat out Memphis for a FA. I know OKC isn't a very attractive city, but I'd still think our talent and youth and recent success would be enough to at least attract on decent FA. So far we've had Dorrell Wright pick the Blazers over us, and now Mike Miller picks Memphis over OKC.
Dude was there for a good chunk of his career. Plus they've proven they are a legit contender in the West. Plus, his role with OKC would be pretty similar to his in Memphis so it is understandable he chose to go to Memphis. He already got his 2 rings so he isn't desperate/would probably rather win it all in Memphis.
