Default smartest basketball player(s)

which players, past and present, do you think have high IQs, were very well read and knowledgeable, with high intelligence. Not talking about BBIQ here, just overall IQs?

Granger has a degree in civil engineering. I dont know if you necessarily equate that with intelligence, but its worth noting.

Pau Gasol is really smart. I think I saw on an ESPN special or something that he was gonna be a doctor of some sort if he didn't make it in basketball

The first guy that immediately comes into my mind is Shane Battier. He's extremely well spoken.

Without a doubt it has to be Wilt. The man created calculus, threw a apple from kansas to Newton's head, created stats, and wrote the book called the boy who cried wolf.

Russell Westbrook.

He was actually recruited by UCLA due to his academics. Perfect GPA and high scores.

It was a weak era for geniuses. Everyone knows that high school students are smarter than Newton these days. Hell, they'd make Einstein look stupid.
