Default Purvis Short Rainbow Jumper Compilation

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CxdV-LSntkc

Some highlights of a very underrated pure scorer from the 80's. He was well known for his beautiful, high arching jump shot, probably the highest ever. Also infamous for never making it to an ASG, even during his 28 ppg season. Check him out! ;)

Cheers!

You just put your arms up and hope it doesn't go in I guess.

He was a bit less accurate compared to the other great shooters of the era, but I believe it was due to how risky and difficult the shot itself was. I don't think I've seen a player churn out as many airballs as Short did.
But when it went in it was amazing to watch.

There are have been many good/excellent NBA players throughout the years, many forgotten. Purvis Short is one of them. My Dad was the first one to tell me about him, his rainbow jump shot.

I was going to say, it's a beautiful shot when it goes in, must be ugly when it misses though. The room for error is so much smaller the higher the shot goes. Incredibly impressive video.
