Default CHA/ SAC trade idea

New Bobcats head coach, Steve Clifford, recently said that on of the cats main priorities is to get a 3rd pg and 1 more back up big.

Quote:
“You have to have a third point guard. If your team’s not organized in this league, you have no chance to play well,” Clifford said at summer-league practice Wednesday.

“I think you have to have six bigs,” he added, referring to centers and power forwards.

What team has an extra pg and big available? One could say that the Kings fit that mold

Would an IT + J Thompson for a S&T Henderson be something the two teams could work out (if Henderson and the cats cant come to an agreement regarding his new contract)

Kings:

Vasquez/ McCallum
Mclemore/ Thornton
Henderson, LRB
Patterson, Landry
Cousins, Hayes

Cats:

Walker/ Sessions/ IT
Gordon/ Taylor
MKG / Taylor
Zeller/ Thompson / McRoberts
Jefferson / Biyombo

I have no problem with trading IT and Thompson, but I think the Kings could do better than Henderson with those two pieces. I'm not sure they wouldn't both be starters on the Bobcats either.

Is Henderson a good defender?

Thompson has the potential to start, but i doubt he would over zeller considering zellers game really compliments jeffersons

NO WAY Thomas starts over walker or sessions.

and yes, henderson is a very good defender. both at man, and filling the passing lanes. hes not the best 3 pt shooter, more of a slasher type. but his shot did improve last season, and he even took more 3 pointers last year than prior seasons.

the kings would have some pretty athletic wings in mclemore and henderson

I would do this trade or one for Afflalo as a undersized SF in a second without thinking about it, but I can't see the Bobcats doing it. Great trade for the Kings.
