Re: Byron Mullen close to two-year deal with Clippers
I don't understand this, the Clippers frontline got MURDERED by Memphis last season. Blake and DJ are SOFT, why would you want another soft big man? Imagine how bad Dwight, Gasol/Z-bo, Duncan are going to destroy the Clippers soft frontcourt?

Re: Byron Mullen close to two-year deal with Clippers
Wanted him when the summer started, ecstatic that the Clippers are nearly acquiring him. A good shooter who chucked due to being on a horrendous squad, will see plenty of pick and pop opportunities and will further spread the floor for Blake to finish jams.
Finish up the summer by adding Camby or Odom and let's get 13-14 underway.

Let's see. Landry with Bobby Brown being the backup point and Reggie Bullock/DaJuan Summers backing up Dudley. Or Barnes/Bullock as the backup SFs, Collison as the backup point and Mullens as the backup PF. Easy call for me.

Nice addition. Nobody they added was going to give them strength over Grizz frontcourt... but Mullens can shoot the ball, and should add some diversity to the Clips frontline.

Obviously the one with a potential sixth man of the year.

Crawford was 2nd in 6th man of the year voting, where was Landry?
And you are aware the backup PF is going to play about 12-15 minutes a night, right? I couldn't picture Doc playing Landry-Blake together for more than a few minutes a night.
Plus, I'm more than confident, that Byron can give the Clips something around the lines of 10/6 a night in the 20-25 minutes he'll get behind both Blake & DJ on a higher % due to actually having open looks from Paul's penetration and Blake's overall play.
