He has a better first step than Collison and has better potential on D.

His ceiling is a hybrid of Westbrook and Rondo. Strong shooter with a great first step that's very long and has great ball skills and passing ability.

He dominated a guy who's supposed to be a top 7 pick next year in Andrew Harrison at the Hoops Summit.

Not that NBA players are the best scouts of talent (looking at you MJ).... but Dirk said before the draft that he really liked Larkin. And the Mavs had a chance to draft the German PG.

(And I imagine Dirk knows more about him than some considering Dirk founded a hoops organization that helps kids in Germany.... etc. It's kind of like the Hoops Summit)

Look German league is bad, only time German team won in EL top 16 is when two German teams played together and his team isn't even good in German league.
Almost every EL player can be among the best players there so I don't get the hype around him.

They say he is a good defender but he never defended any good player, he never played against a great defensive team that wouldn't give him any space to shoot or to pass. I don't see him even playing for any better European team and people think he will be a good NBA player.

I trust Danny Ferry's basketball knowledge more than an Ish poster. IJS

You don't know how rookie scouting works, do you?

Schroeder is free of his contractual obligations to his German team so it's very likely he comes over this year.
