Default Mavs/Celtics discuss Rondo trade

via Woj and Stein...Celtics like Larkin but want Dirk for now.

Dallas has few contracts to work with so adding Rondo will decrease money going to Dwight possibly.

If there's no Dwight, this would be a fantastic second plan. Surround Dirk and rondo with quality FAs.

If Boston wants to rebuild, why are they going after Dirk? Stupid.

Lol this. Why not just keep rondo and see how the team performs this season.

Dirk has a no trade clause and I do not see him waving it (not right now). Cuban is set on getting FA's for Dirk. They have tons of cap space. Dirk already said he would take a huge paycut after this coming year. He didn't demand a trade, he seems set on retiring a Mav.

Why not rebuild around Rondo? He's 27.

I know Rondo has a bad rep, but he's still a legit all-star. Gotta be able to get more for him than Dallas is offering.

Any chance they can trade for Rondo and still have the cap room to sign Dwight?

I believe Marion is part of the trade discussion which was essential for Dallas to waive him to get some cap space to sign Dwight.

So if Marion is traded, where are they going to get the cap space?

If they trade Carter, too.

Right now Danny Ainge pretends hes not trying to deal a player with a bad rep and a ****ing torn ACL. He expects picks, talent, expiring contracts and to dump his own bad contracts. Do they drug-test GMs?

Basically impossible to get both since Celts would want to unload more contracts to Mavs. 3rd team might help, but difficult.
