Jeff Green will score because there's no one else to do it but this team will need a 25 ppg guy and he's more like 17. The healthy players are all young and young teams with no superstar don't win. And lastly, there's no coach. There will be one hired before season starts of course but it's tough to say what the plan is when you don't have a planner.

It seems to me like everyone is acting like the Celtics are just done. They have talent on their roster right now and with clearing cap and picks whose to say their 3 years away from competing? With the right moves signings and a couple of picks in next years draft (which has been characterized as deep) its not unrealistic to see them making a run at a play off spot in 2 years.

A Rondo, Bradley back court would be a disaster.
NO spacing at all, team will dare em to shoot and they'll brick.

Aldrige on the Celtics? That sounds like a great move for the Cs.

What about start Jordan Crawford? Move Bradley to the bench.

With Kelly Kelly, the Celtics are in my top 5 favorite team for the next season

Marshon is a shooter, and that basically is it. He is what James Jones is to the Miami Heat. He's still young so he might be able to master some sort of defense, but for now, he is looking like a 3rd String SG, behind Jamal Crawford.

In the 90's sure, but teams are freaking stacked now like back in the 80's and before.

If they can somehow snag Bynum, they're back in business.

This should be the Celtics strategy

I thought the goal for the Celtics is not to compete so that they can have a shot at the Wiggins sweepstakes.

Where are people getting this idea that the 90's were weak? This is beyond ridiculous. Anyone who says that clearly didn't watch the NBA in the '90s at all.

The defense will be atrocious without KG. That being said, I think they can put up numbers if they run every night. Rondo to Green would be wonderful in transition a good 10 times a night.

That's just the Pierce/KG part.

Pierce/KG = Wallace/Hump/Bogans + '14, '16, '18 1sts
JET = Brooks/Kris Joseph + switch 1st in '17
