If you went by how the games were played for the most part, Spurs should be up 2-1. Games 2 and 3 were pretty much the same with opposite roles, except the Spurs held on and Memphis completed the choke.
I don't know how you come away with Memphis being the better team.
Easily coulda been up 3-0? They lost game 1 by 20 points and it wasn't that close. The f**k are you smoking? They were barely scraping by and getting close wins against OKC without Westbrook in the last round.
The Spurs embarrassed them in game 1; dominated and controlled most of game 2; and controlled and outplayed them in quarters 2-4 and dominated OT in game 3.
There's only been two stretches of the entire series where the Grizzlies looked like the better team: the 4th quarter of game 2 when they made their comeback and the 1st quarter of game 3 where they built an 18 point lead.
For some reason, I think both ECF teams would be the Spurs. Hope I'm wrong, though.
I'm obviously a Pacers fan, but the Spurs terrify me. On paper it's a good series, but their experience and Pop scare the hell outta me. We haven't won in San Antonio in like 11 years and there's plenty of outright embarrassing home losses in there as well. I'm not saying we're going to the Finals, not even close, but I'd MUCH rather play Memphis if it happened.
