Default What teams should try to trade for Bledsoe?

If the Clippers want to keep Paul this summer, theyre going to have to try and give him a roster that he thinks they can win with. The best route for obtaining said roster is to make a trade with the young and upcoming Bledsoe as your center piece.

Is Bledsoe a starter in this league? Most likely, yes. But with such a short sample size, nothing is definite. Regardless, there should be a lot of teams that want him for one reason or another. But what teams actually have a shot at getting him? What kind of players should the clippers be looking at in return. Or do you feel all this is moot, because Chris Paul most likely wont re-sign?

Sounds like the Jazz were interested already so I'd imagine that might be revisited once Paul signs.

Butler + Bledsoe + 2nd for Granger + Green + #23.

It seems a lot of Indy fans want Green gone, so the pick is added for his "contract". Plenty of Pacer fans, at a rival forum, are fine with this deal

Don't see them trading him until Paul is signed.

Bledsoe can be a starter but a hybrid guard. Sg/ spot up shooter on offense and defending pgs on defense.

If the Clippers can afford it they should keep bledsoe and play him at the 2.

His height does not matter because he can guard opposing twos because of his strength and wingspan. the clippers played chauncey billups at the 2 for the last couple years, bledsoe is a better defender than him so who cares.

positions do not matter except for defense. offensively, going small actually often leads to better output. the only reason a player would be too small to play a certain position is because he cant guard his opponents there. thats not the case with bledsoe. if a 2 guard like kobe bryant or joe johnson wants to try and iso and post up bledsoe all game, that actually works to the clippers benefit because it'll be an inefficient chuckfest so who cares.

Beside, his handle and decision making are really not at an elite point guard level. so why would a team sign him to a big deal to play point guard if theyre trying to contend. hes very much like eric gordon in that sense. eric gordon was supposed to be "undersized" for shooting guard and it hasn't stopped him from being a stud when hes healthy. Blesdoe oughtta just work on his jumper and play the 2 and some backup 1 for the Clippers.

but its probably all moot anyway because the Clippers already have two max players plus overpaid deandre jordan. they cant match bledsoes market value without moving DJ. but if somehow money isnt an issue, they should just give him the starting two guard job. him and paul actually play really well together from what ive seen. terrific defensive backcourt for sure.

I'd prefer the picks are taken out, but I'd do that.

this deal doesn't work btw. Clippers need to add ~2.5 mil of salary.

I think some teams like the Jazz or the Magic should get him if they don't get Burke in the draft.
