Choosing this guy over Harden is just

Still couldn't get over what Thunders could have been, Durant-Westbrook-Harden, that's too much talent for the league had they had a chance to stay together for just 1 or 2 more year and they complement one another so perfectly.

Ibaka is only being hated on right now because he doesn't provide what the Thunder are lacking right now: offense.

The fact is, if they chose Harden over Ibaka, their interior D would be nearly nonexistent.

Ibaka is not a DPOY candidate, but he is a good defender and while he can't post, he does have a good midrange jumper. Everyone has known this for the longest time and he's getting called out now because Westbrook is hurt and there's no one to replace him.

He has a very limited offensive game, Thunder have too many guys on the court with Durant who have few ways of contributing offensively.

Nick Collison...........has better interior D than Ibaka, its far easier to replace someone as limited as Ibaka than it is someone as gifted as Harden.

Ibaka is a product of his age. He has no post moves, but when is the last time you saw a guy not named Zach Randolph or Howard or Hibbert or one of about five to ten other guys post up more than once in a game? It isn't done. No one knows how, and no one teaches it any more.

If anyone ever posted up, Ibaka would have learned how. It's clear he works hard on his game.

Now, Kendrick Perkins, on the other hand... is really, really awful. I haven't seen worse center play in my life, and I grew up a Wizards fan in the 00s. There are like two things he can still do well, and they're important, but MAN is he game-alteringly bad at everything else. I was such a big fan of his in Boston but I can't defend the guy anymore.

It starts at the high school level. All the big men want to have the flash of a perimeter player and prove how skillfull they are.

I'm not sure you know what palpable means. If you do, you're using it in a very awkward way.

I'm not sure you know what palpable means if you can't understand the context in which it was used.
