He was actually 245 at the 2003 pre-draft camp so the talk of him being 250 today is ridiculous. Kind of like when Shaq was still listed at 315 during the 3peat and everyone knew he was 340-350.

On TV, Lebron doesn't look big to me. And I would say Artest looks bigger on TV. But when I was Lebron court side, I definitely saw his size. While you can't see his thighs, you know they are big. He actually looks powerful. And when he runs fast, I recall recalibrating what I saw.

Looking at the shot chart I always thought Lebron stayed away from shooting at the foul line and elbows. Its really rare to see a player avoid it like he does. When you are by yourself shooting the ball, you kind of naturally shoot from that spot because the ball doesn't go all over the place. I'm under the impression he rarely shot by himself.

It is better to rely on power more than speed and athleticism. Power remains into your late 30s and in some cases can actually increase like Malone. Speed and athleticism will decrease. I see Lebron relying on power yet still have overall good athleticism when he plays older.

I think Lebron weighing more than he looks mostly has to do with his lower-body. Dude's ass is like a Tonka truck. It's not uncommon to find 270lbs linebackers or tight ends with physiques similar to his. (shorter guys too)

He had more flexibility because he didn't was so tight due to his muscles. But if he didn't work out the way he did he wouldn't be able to dominate as he does now. He sacrifice grace for domination. Not everybody can be MJ I guess...
