Last 5 seconds refs tend to "swallow" their whistles....Where have y'all been?

Why does everybody blame stern for missed calls during a game... So stern called the refs and said if Kobe misses this free throw and foul somebody on a 3 don't call it... I swear some of y'all a *****ing stupid... It's a missed call deal with it

Stern has been fixing a couple of the recent Laker games in order to insure that they're in the playoffs. The Hornets game from two weeks ago is another one that comes to mind. They called out of bounds on Eric Gordon during the last minute of the game when he was clearly in bounds.

Stern is probably furious right now at the Lakers. They're playing so shitty he's been forced to intervene. As a result, the lopsided officiating has become quite blatant.

blown call but I was sitting there thinking like that whisper of the golf announcer you know?

"And now it's Rubio at the free throw line.... this is 3 to make 3 for the tie into overtime.... he swishes the first one..... wiping his hands on his jersey..... there's an expectant hush from the crowd.... Ricky looks over at Terry Porter on the bench, the former great nodding his head at Rubio.......... Rubio's shot clanks off the rim and bounces high.... and drops in!! Now Rubio, who's had a terrific season since his ACL knee surgery recovery, stands alone at the free throw line.

He rolls the ball off his fingers, looks up at the rim...............
"

That's what I'm mad about!!

What we got robbed... was that 3 to go OT

There was no proper angle on that Gordon play.. and did he also force NOH to miss all of their shots in the 4th? Why didn't he suspend Ibaka for the Laker game and why did Jones get away with the foul on Kobe. You conspiracy theorists need to realize that refs sometimes miss calls, and not everything is mandated by "big bad Stern".. find a new hobby

These calls at the end of games are missed all the time, a ref doesn't want to decide the game by blowing their whistle.

The same way they missed a call on Kobe getting fouled/injured on a game tying shot

No proper angle?

I have League Pass for all 30 teams. I was watching the New Orleans feed when that play happened. They had multiple angles and the commentators were shocked at the awful decision from the officiating crew.

You really think Stern gonna allow the T-Wolves to beat the Lakers?

First of all, some of you have to relax. It's a missed call. The Jones thing was not about a missed call. That was a general issue and it needed to be established, as it was grey, it was possibly dirty and potentially devastating. It's an issue even if it doesn't happen to Kobe.

Second, not only is that a foul but that is a good reason to dislike Kobe Bryant. This jerk shoots his FT and holds up his arm...the ball hits the front of the rim and his arm is still raised. Rubio grabs the rebound and his arm is still raised. Finally he puts it down but he doesn't react quickly. He takes his time as if his team isn't up by only 3 and with 5 seconds to go.

When people talk about his bad defense it's this they're talking about. If someone else on the Lakers did what he did he'd be chewing them out and he'd be right for doing so. That's some hot garbage.
