Default '13 Miami Heat vs '98 Indiana Pacers

The 98 Pacers took the Bulls the brink of elimination. They would be well equipped to give this year's Heat a lot of trouble:

-great half court point guard
-two of the greatest shooters and off the ball players in their prime
-size, size and size and Derrick Mckey

who you got?

i'm 12 and i've never seen the pacers so i'd have to think the heat would blow the 98 pacers by at least 40 points

Is everyone just going to accept as fact that this '13 Miami Heat team is better than the '12 or '11 Heat team despite not having any playoff results at this time?

rofl!

but um, real talk, this heat is a championship proven team, like it or not, they're playing out of their mind good, why would a team that couldnt hack it then be better now?

Heat in 5. Smits' size would give them trouble, but that's the extent of it. Miami's star power completely dwarfs Indiana's. LeBron and Wade would make Reggie/Jalen and grandpa Mullin cry. Indiana taking Chicago to the limit was more about luck and Chicago being on their legs than anything. All 3 of their wins in that series came on game winners while trailing. They were lucky to not be swept.

Heat easily. That Pacers team was good but they also got ethered by Toni Kukoc pretty badly. If they couldn't handle him for the long stretch I really don't see them being able to contain LeBron/Wade with a shooter like Ray Allen lurking

This is a horrible comparison. Reminds me of when people used to think Reggie Miller was comparable to Dwyane Wade.

He's not comparable but Reggie played Jordan as well as anybody. He would make Wade have to work very hard on both ends of the floor.

Heat's firepower might be too much for them. Smits would dominate though. Heat in 6 IMO.

Simply looking at the size difference of the two players says otherwise. Wade is two to three times bigger than Reggie and would wear him down.

EDIT: And I'm not trying to be biased with this assessment. Jordan was bigger than Miller but Dwyane Wade is a pretty stocky dude for a basketball player.

They literally would have no one to check LeBron. Maybe you try to have Dale Davis slide over? Ugh, Miami would take it in 5 or 6.
