Paul Pierce gets another triple-double
Celtics forward Paul Pierce messed around and got a triple-double during Friday's contest against the Hawks. Pierce finished with 20 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds in the 118-107 win on 8 of 18 shooting from the field. He also added one steal and one block to his stat line, while earning ringing endorsements from his teammates. "Paul just gets everybody involved," guard Avery Bradley said. "I love playing with him. He just wants to win."
Analysis: Pierce did seem to get a bit nicked up Friday night as well, but that is nothing new. The veteran has taken his share of bumps and bruises this season and has been playing through a neck issue for weeks. However, he has only missed two games all year along and entered Friday's tilt averaging 21 points, 5.8 rebounds and 5.2 assists over his last five games. As long as Pierce can keep himself on the court, owners should keep him active in all formats moving forward.
