you people are class acts. dude shaved a full point off his average tonight just to try and help in any way he could
That's because Kobe spent all week whining and playing up his injury "Out Indefinitely" my ass. He hurt his team by trying to show how tough he was. Complained until the NBA said it was a foul just to shut him up

People bashing the lunatic for his rankings...they actually are not that bad. Ranking Robertson 3rd as a post-up player, when comparing him with two other players who are great in the post...I fail to see how that's automatically an insult. And, really, I don't disagree with his ranking there.
Oscar had a great midrange, but Kobe is a better shooter and in his prime utilized his midrange much better than he does. Bird had a better midrange.
EDIT: Thinking back to it now, I will amend...the other two were better shooters than Robertson, but Oscar established his game from the midrange.
Bird is a better slasher than Robertson. Bird is more clutch than Bird and is the better player. But his rankings weren't nearly as stupid as people should expect them to be...he was almost objective.

There is a big difference: Reed was actually injured. Kobe was just making shit up, a drama queen as always.

He will usually not talk about an injury as though not talking about it means he isn't injured. I guess he couldn't deny it since he had to leave the game.
I'm a Laker fan, first and foremost, but I have to give Kobe credit for his will and ability to play through pain. For Kobe, to a fault, there isn't THAT much difference between a regular season game and a playoff game in terms of playing through injury and pain. His team beat a very good Pacer team on the road (where the Lakers have sucked this year).
Impossible to say if Kobe giving it a go was an inspiration to his mates, but they did do what they were not expected to do.
I still don't think they're ready to advance past the first round as a 7th or 8th seed, but it's getting better. I'd like Kobe to take a few games off to let his team find more of their game without him, and to let his ankle heal a bit more properly, but I'm not sure they have that luxury and Kobe likely doesn't want to risk falling back out of the playoff picture. Moving up to the sixth seed would make their chances of advancing past the first round better, but the road to get there is no cake walk even the way they're playing lately (and still mediocre at best against legit contenders, and even that is a stretch).
One game at a time, and this was a good team (what I truly care about) win on the road. I'll take it.
I like you as a poster, always have man, but I have to put the other spin on it because for alot of fans who dont like Kobe or the Lakers or are just neutral can see through the BS. Not saying Kobe at times has shown fortitude, will, etc.
I dont know, no one mentioned that Kobe is insecure about his team performing well in his absence? Like surely he would have a pretty good idea that he couldn't last out a game, like are Kobe/Laker fans that naive to believe this heroic BS everytime Kobe claims how bad his injury is? Like he said its the worst ankle sprain since his early days, if it was so bad, he would of missed alot more time...
Half of the Laker fan base see his heroics and ignore the facts, but never call into question the BS behind it. Its like they only want to see what they want to see and it comes from the usual crowd, the younger Kobe fans who are a fan of the player before the team. That isnt you though Ell Eff Ell
