Another good comparison is Reggie Miller vs Ray Allen, who do you take? For me it’s Reggie, his competitiveness and ability to hit almost any shot from anywhere on the court makes him the best shooter we’ve seen, doesn’t matter to me that Ray has more buckets from beyond the arc.

The OP was asking who had the better shot... and for that I pick Kerr. I don't care if Curry's release was faster, or if he could create his own shot. If Kerr and Curry were on the 3p line, and I could only cover one, I'd cover Kerr.
As for Miller vs Allen, I didn't watch much of Miller, but I think people forget how good Allen was in Milwaukee and Seattle. He could create his own shot just as easily as he could rain spot-up 3s.
