He gets lost in the shuffle quite a bit with Curry, Thompson, and Lee...but every once in awhile Barnes makes a play like that and shows a quick flash of how good he could eventually be.
It's sad that a coin-toss was the difference between the Raptors getting someone with at least some promise like Barnes and Terrence friggin' Ross.
Yeah I think he would be up there in the running for ROY if he wasn't the 4th or 5th option when he is on the court.
Yeah, unlike all the other top 10 picks, he got drafted by a playoff ready team with several other established go-to players. I really think he would've been a 12-7-2 or 14-7-2 type player if he had been drafted by, say, the Bobcats, Pistons, Kings, or Cavaliers.
Hell, when he's on the floor at the same time with Curry, Thompson, Lee, and Landry, he's basically the 5th option. I think after Davis, Drummond, Beal, and MAYBE Waiters, Barnes has as high of a ceiling and as much potential as anyone in this draft class.

Yeah and when Jack is on he is ahead of him too.
I do think its good for him to play for a playoff team instead of being just thrown in to the wolves on a lottery team. He will also eventually become more consistent and be able to push himself up as a higher option for scoring and running some plays.

Tanking matters.
Yeah, he'd actually be a really good fit in Toronto, too. He'd be a good fit at SF alongside DeRozan, because Barnes can stretch the floor with his shooting ability. And I think his ceiling is at least Rudy Gay, but he'd be a lot cheaper and worse than Gay long enough to keep the Raptors closer to the top 5 in the draft.

Yeah I agree, we would have cap space another potential lottery pick coming, however I'm sure BC would have found a way to screw it up. Probably would have traded Barnes if he drafted him
I don't really know what the Raptors coaching staff is accomplishing with starting Bargnani anymore. It's time to move on from him and make Amir the starting PF from now and the start of next season.

Terrible defense and rebounding once again. These are the differences between how we were playing earlier in the season, and how we're playing now. I almost lost my mind watching Amir Johnson dominate us on the boards. Somebody box this MFer out!

I think Ross is going to be a solid player, maybe even better than Barnes. He's athletic and has a nice jumper. Once he improves his understanding of the game, he's going to be a starting caliber SG in the NBA I think. He's a rookie now though, and Raps are stacked in the backcourt.
Thunder fans everywhere rejoice and say thank you.
I don't see us falling to hard in the standings but either way your definitely getting the pick this year. Its just a matter of where at between 4 and 14.
