If I had to give real credit I think it would be for his rebounding because he had to literally become a better rebounder to make up for the lack of rebounding in his front court. But it didn't continue from the playoffs. Perhaps he will pick it back up in the playoffs anyway.
Cleveland didn't do the same. If they gave him a real 2nd option than he probably would have stayed. You can't expect players to win championships with the Mo Williams as your sidekick. But your so blinded by LeBron hate that you can't even straight. Stick to Euroleague.
It's not about 2nd, 3rd, and 4th options. It's about the team dynamic. They had solid rebounding, elite shooting and elite team defense.

when their single leader has continuously choked when he has no other superstar to depend on, that's not a surprise. Those Cavs team were still league-best record and top defensive team. Not their fault some guy couldn't handle the pressure.

Explain to me why you spend so much time hating LeBron. I don't mind if you don't like LeBron, but why are all of your posts about bashing LeBron? Can't you talk about something else for 5 minutes? I don't understand how can somebody can keep up an agenda account for so long.

yes there is a difference. franchise players like say Kobe or Durant, you don't really have to build around them. You can get other superstars to play along them, and they will still be able to do their thing. The other superstar also doesn't suffer.
Then there are other superstars like Lebron, Iverson, and Dwight. Their whole team were tailored JUST for them.
For AI's 2000's Sixers, the whole team was a great defensively, and horrible offensively, because it allowed AI to do whatever he wanted, and covered for him defensively.
For Dwight's Magic that went to the finals, they put shooters around him so people can't double him, and he can pass out if he can't create, which is most of the time. His rebounding also helps tremendously as he can gather the rebound from all that jumpshot.
Same for bron, the Cavs were built exactly for him. Great defensive team, some shooters, no play makers so bron gets the ball in his hands all the time. They simply failed because they didn't account for one more need of lebron: someone with balls who he can depend on in crunch time. Lebron went to the heat because he himself sees this need.. he'll never win a ring without having another superstar(s) to have his back.

No I don't have a problem understanding. I mean you're only saying it's a quality team because they won. What if they lose this year in the Final? Is it still a quality team?

@ 17ppg being your 2nd option. Kobe averaged nearly 30 as the 2nd option don't you remember? And Mo Williams was only an all-star because of LeBron.
