Some may not be spectacular, but it's the 'amount' that one should consider. And even on most of those it takes timing and anticipation that not all players have.
Then there's those that only he can make. The hanging in the air, reaching across while avoiding a foul, jumping one way and blocking with the opposing hand.
Then there's the EXPLOSIVENESS/reaction.
Like he's shot out of a rocket. I know I'll get labeled as a fanboy for this, but I can't think of another player that can jump as high as quickly without much of an effort (steps) and have great timing while doing so on such a consistent basis. There may be a player that surpassed that, but I can't think of one.

Wow that was almost... Wade-like.
Just kidding... that guy was not playing the game on a human level. The godlike play every star swingman since has tried to emulate... but with MJ we actually were visited by a demigod. You know it, too, because he did it in every way, not just scoring a lot but also being the best shotblocker under 6'9 ever. He doesn't just block those shots he *stuff* them and *swats* them. Amazing.

Re: Michael Jordan Grim Reaper (Michael Jordan`s Shot Blocking Compilation Video)
It didnt include his last famous block as a Wizard when he did a game saving Block on Ron Mercer and pinned it against the backboard and grabbed it as a rebound. that was just amazing

Always loved the block at 1:56 on Mullin even if it was a foul - Jordan looks like he's literally flying and levitating, and he's crazy determined to get that block (check his face after he lands on Grant - dude WANTS to pack Mullin's shot).

What Was More Amazing Was The Age When He Blocked That. What Was He 39 Years Old and Had Not Played Pro for like 4 Years?
