Where does 2013 LeBron James rank among the greatest peaks in NBA History?
LeBron through 50 games this season
27 PPG | 8 RPG | 7 APG | 56.5 FG% | 42 3P% | 74 FT% | 1.7 SPG | 1 BPG
This is the absolute best I've ever seen LeBron perform, His scoring efficiency is legendary, his jump shot is at its best it's ever been, he has been able to improve his game while still maintaining his athleticism, he is also the most versatile defender in the league being able to guard all types of positions, he is an ELITE help & transition defender & a very good man to man defender.
In terms of peak play it's hard not putting him in the top 5 category. I don't know if I would take peak Bird & Magic over peak LeBron at this point, he's that good.

In terms of regular season play,(we still dont know how well this is gonna transform into finals or playoffs so thats reserved for later)
Probably
1a-Wilt
1b-MJ
3-Lebron
Beware shaq has never been this dominant in regular season though his 3peat finals performance ranks ahead of everyone including MJ.
Let me put this into context for you.Hakeem regular season play was fantastic but in terms of peak nobody would put him in top 5 however his playoffs during back to back titles was legendary and definitely belonged to top 5.
Unlike most people i have been fortunate enough to see jordan in his prime though i vaguely remember since i was around 10 at the time.

Absolutely false. Defense Now > Defense in the late 80's.
Larry Bird himself said defenses today are better than they were when he played.
All-time great peak players.
'67 Wilt
'77 Kareem
'86 Bird
'87 Magic
'91 Jordan
'94 Hakeem
'00 Shaq
'03 Duncan
I have no comment on '67 Wilt since I have not seem much footage of him, The only players I'm 100% sure I would take over current LeBron are '91 Jordan, '00 Shaq, & MAYBE '77 Kareem.
