and yes, Flacco had a great post season...that was a big part of it, but not ALL of it

unfortunately to many though, just being in the SB = best QB...but it is false
I was explaining your point in a different way. Which I can see what you meant.

I do think Flacco and Kap did play at an extremely high level though.

during the post season, Flacco did play at an extremely high level...I can't deny that, I am just not a fan of the media and everyone else giving him full cred

Kap hasn't even played a full 16 games...which is amazing actually...not sure if that says more about the QB position or him, but you can't deny the rest of that SF TEAM being amazing

For awhile now that is how its been. GB, NY, and now BAL. Seems like the recipe for a Superbowl now is to make the playoffs and then have great qb and defensive play in the playoffs.

The Ravens weren't one of the best teams. They just had one of those 'magical' postseason runs. They should have lost to the Broncos.

naw...Flacco actually should have had more TDs that game than he did...Torrey Smith had torched Bailey that entire game and on a couple of occasions Flacco over threw him on what would have been sure TDs

I think Peyton was lucky to see an overtime

Even after Flacco had one of the best post seasons in NFL history for a QB, you manage to find a way(s) to discredit him.

Instead of investing so much time, effort and energy into painting the "Flacco is overrated" ... "it was the Raven's D that won the SB" ... etc BS picture, why not make your focal point on the shortcomings of Tony Romo?

Your focus should be how Tony Romo gets you to the next level. How Tony Romo can do more than put up noticeable regular season stats yet be one of the worst post season QBs in history of the league. Tony Romo and post season = epic fail.

When talking about Flacco... in his short NFL what, 5 or 6 season career, he's made the playoffs every year, and more often than not took his team deep within the tournament. Tony Romo's playoff resume?

*crickets*

This thread is about how teams win games, not QBs or any single player

IMO Tony is more than capable of playing in a Super Bowl, he just hasn't had the coaching staff or players around him that Flacco and Kap had this year, simple as that.

Yeah its been Flacco the entire time making the playoffs...he would have won a SB this year even on the Jags or Eagles team.

The team around him might as well be high school kids

It's not about QB's. It's about ONE QB. And we know which one. The Cowboys and Giants met in the first Super Bowl Run. We also met in the second TWICE in a four week period. Any of those three times, if Romo outplays Eli the Cowboys would have had a chance to replace the Giants on those run. In all THREE games, Eli outplays Romo, makes less mistakes (makes less mistakes - mistakes on the QB) and the Giants win.

That's pretty ****ing important. That's the whole point of playing football, of watching football, to be good enough to be in the position to win, and for the QB (who has the ball more than ANY other player) to take it home.

QB's who don't step up in key moments tend to break a lot of hearts in the fanbase.
