Even taking rookie contracts into account Lebron's is the most cost effective. As someone else already said, head and shoulders above everyone else, but only 16th (it is what I read today) highest paid player.
As for least cost effective, easily Arenas and Roy. Not even playing, but still on the books.

no. bargnani is the least cost effective. he's a negative. atleast arenas/roy aren't hurting their teams with their play.

it really depends on what our metrics are. If we go by PER, than someone like Gay is one of the worst performance/cost contracts. Excluding those who havent played much like bargs or bynum, etc.
