First team to a 100 wins

You often hear announcers talk about the first team to a hundred usually wins. If the rule was actually that the first team to reach a 100 points is the winner of the game, how do you think that would affect the strategy if at all?

It wouldn't affect the game at all. Shots would still be just as valuable, defense would still be important.

Not sure strategy would change a whole lot. Tempo and pace would pick-up, maybe a few more three-pointers. Some games would last longer than usual, too.

This. Some teams like the Pacers, Bulls, Grizzlies, and Nets would routinely have 50+ minute games; and teams like the Thunder, Spurs, Clippers, and Rockets would get a lot of games done in about 40 minutes.

That's a stupid idea.

Imagine Bulls-Pacers game. Teams would be at 80-80 after 50 minutes of play,then they would just say "f*ck this,it's enough" and leave the floor

i would make the ending more exciting though, it would always be a game winner in every game

Teams would not play defense for the first 80-90 or so points, score at crazy paces, and then just give a shit for the last few points.

It's just a terrible idea.

That part could be cool. And teams wouldn't just stall and play keep away at the end. Another plus is it would get rid of intentionally putting people on the foul line towards the end of the game.

Not that different from right now except they don't play at a crazy, fun pace for the first 42 minutes.
