Default Pau 22 pt 12 rebs 3 blks as startin center

As ive been saying all along this guy is the best center in the league, lakers need to trade that b1tch Dwight and pacakage MWP with him for an athletic SF. and they are set.

Gasol is a Center and has played out of position since 2009. The guy was a PF-C type in his early career.

I have said many times the lakers need to just ride out with 2 years both he and Kobe have....Dwight is not worth all the headache he gives you plus I dont think the team likes him that much.

guy plays shitty defense. Players attack the rim like he isn't even there.

Lakers D looks completely awful with Pau though. Dude just stands there with his arms raised and waits for the outcome with his eyes closed, doesn't challenge shit.

I think you get an athletic PF who can D up. If Dwight could shoot midrange decent him at PF could work....

Too many parts on LA, not enough gelling.

The guy is a PF, not a C. If you had KG, Noah, Davis, Ibaka...guys like that, then you could play him at C He's an awful defender at the position. Josh Smith would also do great next to Gasol.

Hell, if you could get Larry Sanders you'd be good...tho he would be the center and not Gasol...Sanders would probably do very well next to him. Henson, too, if he was ready.

As said all along, he needs to be the low block scorer. He hasn't even really been his natural C spot since the 2008 season, which was the Lakers most successful in terms of offense.

Bynum steadily pushed him further away from the basket in 2009 and 2010. They won both those years because Bynum came off the bench, or didn't play much at all. No congestion in the low block with Gasol. Didn't take away his touches.

Once Bynum came back in 2010 - 2011, he was never the same, because he kept getting pushed further and further out.

It wasn't until 2011 that I would actually see Gasol shoot the occasional three, on those merits alone you knew something was wrong.

He needs to be the focal point of the low block offense. His touch, passing, and footwork is valuable. D12 isn't staying. Trade that guy for pieces to bolster the defense, add youth and athleticism.

are you high. Gasol is a way bertter defender at C than he is at PF. he is way too slow to keep PF infront of him. he actually guards centers very well. he blocked pekovic couple times just by keep his arms up because he is so tall

He is a center, but he's a complete sieve at the rim. The Lakers D is way better when Dwight's in there. They should just keep doing what they're doing. Start Dwight, bring Pau off the bench, and spend some time with them both on the court.

Have you played organized basketball? That's one of the first things they teach you, raise your arms and prevent the other guy from scoring, that way you prevent a foul. Maybe is only in my school where they taught that but that's defense 101...

Pau is aging but still a good player. I have to agree about his D though, it's piss weak. Especially his help D, when guards penetrate.

But at some point your center has to be intimidating and give hard fouls to prevent further drives. You cant just stand their with your arms up every drive. My son Pau gotta start fouling the bricks off these nikkas

His paint defense sucks, period. If you have one of the guys I mentioned, then they could play PF alongside him at C. But with Clark or Artest, it isn't going to work as well.

He played PF for the Lakers. Bynum was always the starter. Bynum didn't play crazy minutes, so Gasol got some time at C, with Odom at PF. But he didn't play half of his minutes at center. Most of them were at PF. That's a fact.
