Default Is Chris Paul even the best player on his team?

lol at people talking about this guy for MVP.

Blake Griffin last 5 games with Paul out:
23.2 ppg / 9.0 reb / 5.2 ass / 2.2 stl / .582% fg

If anyone is a third candidate it's Melo, or even Kobe.
Shit, even Kyrie Irving is above Chris Paul.

All NBA Defense, Elite in crunch time, 10 assists a game

Chris Pauls impact isn't based on stats. It's not even close but I will admit Blake is a very good player

Of course he is, the Clippers are a title contender with CP3 and a lottery team without him. They can still play without CP3 'cause the players are still confident that CP3 will return someday, if hes out for season the Clippers will not make playoffs.

All NBA defense? Hell no. There are 10 guards who are better defensively than him. Hes too small to be any sort of deterrent on defense. Hes great at picking pockets and playing lanes, but hes too small and bigger guards go off on him.

When it comes to crunch time in the playoffs, Chris Paul is the most important player on that team. He's their only closer and they would be totally lost without him running things when it counts and things are turned up a couple notches during the playoffs

i wouldnt say 'the much better player'

blake has easily been a top 3 PF this year... and his defense and shooting have improved

"Much better" is an exaggeration when Blake is playing at his best like he has been lately. The dude had 26 points, 13 rebounds and 2 steals last night in basically 3 quarters.

The sample is exactly the size of Chris Paul going out with injury. Has nothing to do with sample but rather more touches and time with the ball. Chris Paul needs to be watching this closely and realize that he's not involving Blake enough. Same with Vinny who got Blake 1 fu**ing shot last night in the 4th after he had 23 points in 3 quarters.

Last 6 games for Blake:

23.7 ppg, 9.7 rpg, 5.7 apg, 2.3 spg on insane efficiency. Outside of Lebron name ONE more player who is capable of numbers like this? Not only are these the best all around numbers he's put up in a stretch but his defense is there to go with it unlike his rookie year.

These are numbers I can see for a whole year from prime Blake if he has the right playmakers around him. I've always said he could put up something like 25 ppg, 10-12 rpg, 5 apg, 2 spg and 1 bpg in his prime with great efficiency and defense.

Replace CP3 with Kobe, and Klippers will be instant title favorites.

Yes, he is, by a visible margin. Blake has stepped it up recently, but that doesn't erase how well CP has been all year and the impact he makes compared to Biff.

No, they wouldn't be. Now, switch CP3 and Crawford for Nash and Kobe on the Lakers, and their record would easily be 30-16.
