Re: What are the top contenders championship windows?
For the people saying that MIami have 2-3 years left. Lebron is 28, so is Bosh. That would mean that Lebron will not be a contender at 31 which is crazy. The window just started..

Yea put next year man you gotta remember that the Thunder have the Raptors 1st round pick and it could be top 6.
Their bench is much younger and better and they still have a very strong corp and Ibaka has improved.
The Heat would need either injuries or an inhuman performance by Lebron to win next year

That's assuming Lebron stays.

The Heat have until LeBron leaves, so basically 2014.
The Thunder have until Durant declines, or leaves, the Knicks have a couple of years. Memphis i'm not too sure about, but their big players are all up in the same season, so i'd suggest that is their window lol.
The Spurs really don't have much longer imo. I can't believe Duncan has been such a monster this season.

Basing these above teams as contenders given their record so far...
The Heat, Thunder and Spurs are the only contenders in my opinion. All of those other teams have an outside shot. I envision the Thunder sweeping the West. Durant and Westbrook will be way too motivated to not reach the Finals. The Grizzlies and Clippers are close but will ultimately fail and the Knicks and Warriors are way to inexperienced. Jason Kidd is the only impact player on the Knicks that knows what Finals feel like.

Thats because those teams are the only known contenders right now. Bulls without a healthly Rose aren't contenders.
It was said in the orginal post that it's done by records so far..

Bulls, Thunder, Heat, Clippers have the biggest windows. I added Clippers, because they're in LA, and everyone wants to play in LA.
P.S. fukk the Lakers.

I hope Rose is back to his best but I don't see that happening until next season. Hope I'm wrong as I'm a big D-Rose fan..
