Sometimes when i watch nba, ncaa, macdonalds or any other dunk contests, i just can't understand the mind sets of players, who participate, when they just come out and do some in game dunk, that even wouldn't make the daily top5 dunks in the game. If you aren't prepared to show some new dunks or push already done dunks to another level with more creativity or power, why participate? Aren't there teammates who could suggest you what to do and what not to do so you wouldn't embarrass yourself and disappoint fans.
This may sound crazy, but players, who come and participate (that means, that someone else didn't make it) and do Gerald Wallace type of dunks, which in my opinion is disrespect to fans and people who organize this events, get fined.

he's the only man ever to dunk so hard the ball went above the backboard.... i saw him play and he did that a lot.
That's rather arbitrary and I'm sure its happened on plenty of other occasions. Its not purely on how hard you dunk it, but how cleanly you flush the ball through the ring.

Could be my friend. All I can tell you is, Chamberlain is the only player I've ever seen do that, and he is the only guy I've ever seen come remotely close to doing that. And I started watching hoops a long, long time ago.

I've seen a few, and I'm sure if you search around, you'll find more. I remember a Laphonso Ellis alley-oop, a Gerald Green dunk, and a Ricky Davis dunk getting up there too. Simply remember due to it being funny watching the other players waiting for it to come back down so they can pass it in again.
